Sana Mir becomes the most successful women’s ODI spinner in world
Pakistan’s off-spinner Sana Mir became the most successful women’s ODI spinner in the world after the third One-Day International of the ICC Women’s Championship.
This achievement came when Sana Mir dismissed South Africa’s Sune Luus in 49th over of South African inning.
It was Sana Mir’s 147th ODI wicket in her 118th appearance, overall Sana is the third highest wicket-taker after fast bowlers Jhulan Goswami of India (218) and Australia’s Cathryn Fitzpatrick (180).
Sana Mir is presently the third-ranked ICC bowler but is expected to make an upward movement when the new rankings are released on Monday, May 13.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) in a tweet has congratulated Sana Mir on her achievement:
She's just taken her 147th ODI wicket meaning that she now has more wickets in the format than any other female spinner in history 👏 👏
