Resolution submitted against Zartaj Gul in Punjab Assembly
LAHORE: A resolution has been submitted against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and State Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul in the Punjab Assembly.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Uzma Bukhari filed the resolution under Article-62 demanding disqualification of Zartaj Gul for ‘abusing the accorded designation.’
According to the resolution, Zartaj Gul has misused her designation and got her sister – Shabnam Gul – appointed as the NACTA director.
The resolution added that Zartaj Gul wrote a letter to the interior secretary for the appointment of Shabnam Gul who neither has any experience regarding the counter-terrorism field nor any related research work.
Let it be known that the federal government had appointed Shabnam Gul as the director of NACTA for three years – the move which was widely criticized on social media.
