‘Qureshi, Tareen advised to stop exchange of words’
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Imran Khan has asked Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen to stop exchange of words.
Imran Khan while stressing matter advised both party stalwarts not to provide any chance to media to make comments.
A day earlier, Mehmood Qureshi was critical of Jahangir Tareen for attending government and official meetings.
Tareen had been disqualified by Supreme Court and barred from contesting elections and his attending meetings opened door for criticism by PTI opponents.
Meanwhile, Tareen said that he was answerable only to Prime Minister and no one could stop him from serving Pakistan.
Several PTI leaders and ministers including Fawad Chaudhry and Faisal Vawda defended Tareen’s attendance at Federal Cabinet meetings.
Imran Khan has been quoted as saying that he himself gave Tareen an assignment on agricultural policy.
Prime Minister stressed that entire party should demonstrate unity in overcoming challenges being faced by Pakistan.
