‘Quarterly performance report of ministers, public officers’, PM directs
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Imran Khan has decided to review quarterly performance of ministries and issued directives to compile reports within 14 days.
Performance of ministries would be reviewed on basis of targets presented in Cabinet in November 2018.
Ministries have been given two weeks to finalise its quarterly performance reports to be reviewed by Prime Minister during an upcoming session.
Each Ministry would be given 30 minutes to present its performance report before starting question session. PM Office said that review sessions for scrutinising performance of ministries would play important role to ensure progress of government.
Earlier, Imran Khan had directed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to set up a cell to monitor performance of ministers and government officers on January 30.
A monitoring cell headed by PTI General Secretary, Arshad Dad would be formed to address problems of general public and to keep an eye on performance of ministers and government officers.
Dad said that purpose behind monitoring cell was to improve performance of ministers and public officers.
Unsatisfactory performance of ministers may lead to changing of their portfolios.
Besides, all ministries and divisions will brief PM on their respective progress followed by a question answer session of 10-15 minutes.
