Opposition stance to re-poll: Fazlur Rehman
PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl Chief Fazlur Rehman said that God willing his party will lockdown entire Islamabad after Ramadan in protest against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
“Instead of politicians, a government of technocrats is in making. Rather than elected representatives, selected few are running the government. Time demands the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he said in a press conference.
JUI-F chief said that Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has become a menace for people of Peshawar as project estimated to be Rs30bn has now touched Rs100 billion.
He said that government should answer why it has stopped authorities from taking action on recommendations of BRT project inspection report.
“Economy is at ventilator and no one is here to improve it. Poor man is hit by massive inflation,” he said, “If Abdul Hafeez Shiekh was a thief in Zardari era why all of a sudden become all-clean now.”
Entire opposition agrees on having new polls, the presidential system is a symbol of dictatorship such experiments should not be encouraged, he said.
