PoL Prices Jacked-up, Notification Issued
ISLAMABAD: The incumbent government has dropped another inflation bomb on the citizens of the country just before the Holy Month of Ramazan, as petrol prices have been jacked up.
A notification in this regard has been issued. The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting on Friday approved to increase fuel prices for the month of May.
According to details, ECC meeting chaired by Adviser on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has approved an increase in petrol price. The new price of petrol would become Rs108 per litre. Sources further reveal that ECC has also approved to increase diesel price by Rs 4.89 per litre.
