Mohmand Dam would have a gross storage capacity to store 1.2 million acre-feet (MAF) water with power generation potential of 800-MW and it will irrigate around 16,000 acres of land and ensure supply of water to 160,000 acres of land.
Residents of Peshawar will get 300 million gallons of water.
The dam will generate a profit of Rs52 billion annually. The project aims at helping mitigate the risk of floods in Peshawar, Charsadda, and Mardan.
