Second one day: England sets target of 374 runs for Pakistan to win
SOUTHHAMPTON: In the second match of the five one-day series between Pakistan and England, England batsmen beat Pakistan bowlers, 374 runs target given to green shirts.
According to the details, Pakistan Captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and invited the host team to bat first.
England scored an innings of 115 runs by Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow.
Jonny Bairstow scored 51 runs before his wicket.
The host team made 170 runs till 29th over at a loss of one wicket that had to stop due to the rain. Jason Roy at 83 and Joe Root scored 28 runs.
When the match was restarted after raining, Hasan Ali ousted Jason Roy at his 87-runs inning, England’s second wicket.
England scored 373 runs in the fifty overs and set a target for green shirts at 374 runs to win.
Jos Butler played unbeaten innings of 110 runs, while Jason Roy 87, Eion Morgan 71, Beer Steve 51 and Joe Root made 40.
From Pakistan side, Ali, Shahin Shah Afridi, and Yasir Shah ousted one wicket each.
Pakistan’s batting continues in pursuit of the target.
