Opposition should not hide behind production orders: Ali Muhammad Khan
ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Tuesday said the opposition should not hide behind production orders.
While addressing the National Assembly session, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader said people want accountability as country’s resources were consumed without any check and balance in the past.
“I am willing to be held accountable of my ten-month tenure and the opposition should do the same for its 35-40 years in power.
Ali Muhammad Khan lashed out on Khawaja Asif and said that the opposition leader’s speech made him question if they ever were in the government.
The expressed shock and amazement over khawaja Asif forgetfulness and his time served as the Federal Minister of the state himself during the previous tenure of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
Ali Muhammad admonished the expenditures made on personal undertakings by the former President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.
He said that the national exchequer was robbed to facilitate the lavish spending by previous rulers and all that expenditure and accumulated wealth of the politicians will be accounted for, everyone must answer for their wrongdoings, if any.
Earlier, Ali Muhammad Khan said on July 13 said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had learned nothing from its previous mistakes.
