Nawaz Arrest is Political Revenge: PML-N Leaders
LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrest in Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case is ‘political revenge’.
Nawaz Sharif on Friday was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with the CSM case. Talking to media today, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said it is a national tragedy that three times elected prime minister is going to be produced in the accountability court. “After getting failed to find anything against Nawaz Sharif, the NAB arrested him in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case,” she said and added that now “selected PM” is using such cheap tactics.
The PML-N spokesperson asked that will this behavior improve the economic condition, eliminate unemployment and inflation?. “Nawaz Sharif served the country and provided employment opportunities,” she added.
Marriyum denied the rumours regarding the clash between Sharif brothers, saying that “such talks are spreading from the last 35 years.” On the occasion, Asif Kirmani said that “everyone knows that government is targeting PML-N.” Responding to a question about the deal, he said: “Government needs the deal, not Nawaz Sharif.” PML-N Punjab spokesperson Uzma Bukhari said that “government is intentionally trapping Nawaz in different cases.”
“These are the preparations before the announcement of a verdict in Judge Arshad Malik video scandal case,” she added. “Weak and incapable leader failed to run the country,” She further said and added that they want Nawaz Sharif in jail at any cost.
