Zartaj Gul didn’t write any letter for appointment of her sister; NACTA
ISLAMABAD: National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has shed light on State Minister; Zartaj Gul hasn’t written any letter regarding the appointment of her sister as NACTA director.
NACTA clarified that the letter which is under discussion in media was written by a principal staff officer of Zartaj Gul to Secretary Interior Ministry.
Earlier on Sunday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Naeem-ul-Haq told that the Premier has directed the State Minister for the environment Zartaj Gul to retake her letter which was written to appoint her sister in the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
He wrote on his Twitter; “The PM has directed that Zartaj Gul should withdraw her letter written to NACTA regarding the appointment of her sister. Naeem had said that such acts are against the policy of the party and will not be supported.
Zartaj Gul claimed that the letter issued to The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) was merely notification and was not written to influence the institute.
She claimed that the aim of her letter was to tell the authorities that the curriculum vitae (CV) of her sister has reached the authority’s office.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed Zartaj Gul to withdraw her letter requesting the appointment of her sister Shabnam Gul in the National Counter Terrorism Authority (Nacta).
