‘Justice, education’, among objectives of Naya Pakistan
Dispensation of justice and provision of education are two pillars of idea of Naya Pakistan.
Prime Minister, Imran Khan while addressing groundbreaking ceremony of Hyderabad University in Islamabad said, “No nation can progress without equipping its youth with quality education”.
Government believes in investing in human capital of country to ensure durable development and progress, he remarked.
Education provides real security to a country and nation and no society can progress without imparting quality education, he maintained.
PM Imran said that a skilled and educated youth can play an important role in uplifting a country and elimination of poverty as well.
Higher education is pivot for progress and development and Hyderabad University will be developed on technical and scientific grounds, he assured.
Federal government would assure full support in establishment and development of varsity, he said.
Al-Qadir University is being set up in private sector at Sohawa in Jehlum, where Science and Sufism will be taught to promote tolerance and to present true picture of Islam, he added.
Earlier, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mehmood said that Higher Education Commission forwarded a project costing Rs 2 billion for establishment of Hyderabad University, Project is approved and soon land will also be acquired for University, he informed.
Minister said that curriculum would be upgraded to requirements of present times. He said special focus was being made on quality and standard setting in domain of higher education.
Minister for Information Technology, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui thanked Prime Minister for fulfilling longstanding demand of people of Hyderabad. He said University would play its due role in equipping youth of area with modern knowledge, which would become foundation of a prosperous Pakistan.
Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail said that setting up of Hyderabad University was common desire of both ruling party and Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan. He said Imran Khan fulfilled desire and need of establishment of a university in Pakistan’s third largest city, which was deprived of an institution of higher learning.
