NAB issues arrest warrant of Asif Ali Zardari
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) issued an arrest warrant of Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari in ‘Mega Money Laundering Case.’
According to details, NAB would submit warrants to Islamabad High Court (IHC) bench to hear Zardari’s bail petitions on June 10. Arresting document requesting it to allow the corruption watchdog to arrest him for an investigation into the case.
NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal approved an arrest warrant against the Former President of Pakistan.
Earlier, IHC had extended the bail of PPP Co-Chairmen and his sister Faryal Talpur till June 10.
During the hearing, the court came down hard on Investigating Officer Muhammad Ali Abro for giving contradictory statements. “A responsible person should appear in court instead,” said one member of the bench.
“Asif Zardari is directly involved in fake bank accounts case and the bureau has enough evidence to arrest him”, the NAB officials said and submitted record of the case in the court.
