Firdous Ashiq Awan questions PML-N over lack of information on Nawaz’s health

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan questioned the silence over former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s health condition ever since his departure to London when once “his every breath was being counted”. While addressing the media in Sialkot, the de facto information minister said it has been several days since former premier traveled to London for treatment but there hasn’t been a single report on his health. She also questioned why the doctors abroad had not issued any sort of advisory over his treatment.
“Doctors had said the illness could only be treated abroad. But now, ever since he has been gone, we have not seen a final recommendation by the foreign doctors.
“We know full well the true nature of his illness and their (the Sharif family’s) associated agenda,” said the spokesperson. The special assistant also said the government will launch a crackdown on profiteers to control prices of essential items in the country, She said the government is currently facing two challenges; unemployment and inflation – which can only be resolved by wealth creation and job opportunities.
