‘Fake accounts case’, AC sends Asif Ali Zardari to jail on judicial remand

ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad sent Pakistan Peoples’ Party co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari to jail on judicial remand in the Fake Bank Accounts and Mega Money Laundering scandal case.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced the politician under strict security measures. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir conducted the hearing of the fake accounts case.
The court, after hearing arguments, decided to send Zardari on Judicial Remand.
The Judge directed the anti-graft watchdog to produce the erstwhile president before the court on August 19.
