Pak-China are in close contact on fake marriages scandal: FO
ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Mohammad Faisal responded to media reports regarding fake marriages scandals. Chinese and Pakistan governments are in close contact on the issue, he said.
Dr. Faisal stated, “Chinese team visited Pakistan and held meetings with law enforcement officials and both sides are closely coordinating their efforts.”
“China Government had presented all possible collaboration on this subject, which was highly valued,” Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson said.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan Missions in China are carefully monitoring the alleged that have any complaints on the issue.
Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 15 Chinese nationals involved in fake marriages with Pakistani girls and trafficking them to China.
Chinese Embassy in Pakistan denied media reports that some of the Chinese nationals were in custody in accusation of fraud, human trafficking, sale of organ, and forcing Pakistani women into prostitution after contracting marriages.
