AC to resume hearing on Ramzan Sugar Mills Case today
LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) of Lahore will resume hearing on Ramzan Sugar Mills Case today (Thursday) involving former Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Sharif.
As per details, Shehbaz Sharif will not able to appear before the court due to his business in the federal capital, however, his son will reach the court to attend case proceedings.
In the previous hearing, the father-son duo appeared before the court in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case while the court asked about Hamza Shehbaz, to which, the NAB prosecutor told the court that he is under investigation in the illegal assets case so he was not presented before the court.
The NAB also informed the court the investigator of the assets beyond the earning was not instructed to present Hamza Shehbaz in the court today.
Hamza’s counsel said that the court had given clear instructions to present him in the court on the next hearing and his absence is the violation of the court orders.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing until August 1 and ordered to present Shehbaz and Hamza in the court on the next hearing.
