26,000 saplings to be planted in Jhelum today: Fawad
JHELUM: As part of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s ongoing tree plantation drive, as many as 26,000 saplings will be planted on 50 acres land in Jhelum today.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet said, “Today in Jhelum ll plant 26,000 saplings on 50 Acre Land. This land is recovered from Qabza mafia.”
He said country has its first pro-environment government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

It is noteworthy that Punjab government had lately decided to plant more than one million saplings in the spring season in Punjab during next two months.
Decision was made during a meeting presided over by Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed.
