The second round of talks between Pakistan and FATF will held today
Bangkok: The first round of talks between Pakistan and the FATF took place, in which Pakistan informed the progress of the targets from April to August this year. The FATF reviewed the report on 125 additional questions.
Hamad Azhar, Minister of Economic Affairs, is leading the Pakistani delegation to the dialogue between FATF and Pakistan. During the first round, participants were briefed by Pakistan for freezing the assets of banned organizations and stopping activities.
Customs officials outlined measures to curb illegal currency delivery. Talks were made by the Pakistani government to make the gold business registered and the issue of fixing the ID card number in gold transactions was also discussed.
Today will be the second round of talks between Pakistan and FATF’s Asia Pacific Group.
